The CAT (Congregation Assessment Tool) has been sent out. If you’ve received the link, now is the time to complete the assessment. Your responses will help leaders gauge the strength, vitality, and trends in our church. The information gained from this assessment will be valuable in helping the leaders of First Delray as they make decisions about the future, most immediately finding a “good match” for our congregation as we search for Dr. Hood’s successor.
All answers to the questions in the CAT are strictly anonymous. We have no way of matching any assessment to a particular person, so please feel free to candidly share your perceptions, opinions, and experiences. Our future together is dependent on your participation and honest answers.
If you have questions, please contact any member of our Mission Study Team. We are here to encourage and assist you in your participation.

Sunday, April 19th at 4 p.m.
THIS CONCERT IS SOLD OUT. It’s Big, It’s Bold, and we think it will “blow you away”! Get ready for powerful horns, the smooth sounds of saxophones, and a driving percussion section—a musical experience not to be missed! Featuring South Florida’s Matt Calderin Big Band and our First Delray Singers, this “sentimental journey” will showcase favorite songs from the 1930s-50s, popularized by greats like Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra. Get ready for a sound that will fill the Sanctuary with infectious rhythms and energy, uplifting tempos, and sophisticated ballads. You’ll be tapping your toes and barely able to stay in your seat. (We won’t tell if you don’t …)

June 8th through June 12th
Ready to travel back in time? Join us in Rome for our Vacation Bible School, June 8 to 12, 2026. Children will explore the caves of the Underground Church, meet the Apostle Paul, create cool Bible-time projects, experience thrilling real-life dramas, play high-energy games, sample tasty Mediterranean snacks, and hear unforgettable music. We are starting the preparations for this high-energy event. If you have children ages 3 (potty-trained) through completed 5th grade, complete the registration form and put VBS on your calendar now! If you would like more information or want to volunteer, contact Grace Hood.

Sunday, October 25th at 4 p.m.
What would a movie be without music? Our final concert will showcase the incredible impact of music themes from the Silver Screen. It’s an afternoon for memories of the nostalgia, inspiration, triumph, and poignancy that we have come to associate with great movie scores, from iconic classical pieces to heartfelt ballads. Our First Delray Singers and Phil Hinton will treat us to the vocal and instrumental music that has helped to shape many of the movies we have loved over the years. (Sorry, no popcorn in the Sanctuary!) Tickets are $20 each.

Sunday, January 10, 2027 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
